Embedded – Birds in Landscape represents an imaginary landscape referencing  textile designs from Indian dowry bags. Rich in patterning, motifs are strewn across the central panel creating the traditional triangular form. Geometric shards and bird forms are a feature of textiles from the Asia Pacific region. Rabari women  gather daily in an afternoon ritual of conversation and embroidery.
