ART EXHIBITIONS 2017
Bird in Landscape was selected by a panel for display in the 2017 Lyn McCrea Memorial Drawing Prize finalist exhibition at Noosa Regional Gallery during 20 October – 26 November 2017.
The work is an imaginery landscape created by knitting a continuous stream of stitches ,in some areas dropping them to form voids and in others , adding in flexible cord to enable the work to be twisted and formed. The inclusion of the collaged bird was a response to the appearance of a young butcher bird outside the kitchen window.
